Yield is an important accountability measure for GMP purposes.  Is yield also a good process performance indicator?

Material and bed properties, formulation, Wurster, thermocoat, PCTSUni and PCTSWurster .

Determine the yield at various weight gains and coating efficiency using the process efficiency screen. 

At low weight gain, yield changes very little even though the coating efficiency changes drastically.  Yield is not a good measure of the process performance.
